I am just starting up a website/ portfolio. A critique would be appreciated.

The images, in general, I like. I'm not a hug fan of HDR, but can appreciate it.

The website is a bit drab in my opinion. Animations seems to lag a bit; the transitions should load a bit quicker. I know it's a Wix website, so it's free and the options are limited. However, I think something other than a black background would be much more appealing. Hope it helps.

On my screen (15.6" laptop) you have a LOT of wasted vertical space.
There is a blank white box on the top of the screen ... then a nav/menu bar with a wide margin above and below ... then a header with a very wide margin below.
Those three elements take up 80% of the vertical space ... so I have to scroll on EVERY page to start looking at your content.
Way too much wasted space.
"Gallery" link doesn't do anything - doesn't take me anywhere.
Not sure if WIX sites allow contact forms to be added. If they do, maybe look at Wufoo (free and looks much more professional)
When I am on the "Contact" page, I can't get back to the only page that has photo content ("New Releases") ... New Releases is not on the nav bar on that page
