#1 looks like a shot from the 60's.... but somehow I cant see some gangsters dancing on there heads in ny in the 60's... haha what a great shot it certainly shows a different kinda of strory then you would expect from first looking at the shot... (sorry... i make no sense )

Are you shooting film or digital? I ask because they appear to be scans. If they are, you have some poor scans. Compostionally, they are fine, but technically they have some issues. You have almost no pure blacks- they are muddied. Your midtones are the same way. You have lost a lot of detail in the shadow areas.

I saw another post of yours with a child playing chess with a man. Same thing. That is a great shot, but technically, it really needs some help.

If you are shooting these digitally then maybe it is in the way you are converting them. You have a nice eye, you just need to get the technical issues down.
