Newbie from Texas

Hello everyone I have been browsing this site for a few weeks now and I really liked this community so I decided to become a part of it. I have always had a love for photography but only recently have I really become interested. I have always loved the idea of freezing a specific moment in time capturing it for all to see.

I went on a cruise to Mexico a few months back and when I looked over my photos I realized that I wanted better shots. This helped spark my interest and I began scouring the internet trying to learn all I could.

After lots and lots of research I ended up buying a Nikon D40 with the kit lens. A few months later I picked up the 55-200mm VR and my 50mm 1.8 should be here next week.

I do a lot of automotive photography as that is my second passion. I also love shooting landscapes and night shots. I have also been going to my nephews baseball games and shooting there.

Sorry for the long post but there is a little bit about me and I hope to post some shots up soon.
