Now the obvious question. How did you do it?! I'm even newer to pp than i am photography lol.

I kept it a simple as I could... because I thought you might ask that question. I did a light Clone over the dark circles with a clone spot on her cheek.. and opacity about 20% Flow 100%.. just made a few passes until it got rid of the dark areas. Then did a little Blur at about 30% over same to blend.. also a bit on her cheek (since you concerned about splotchiness). The I ran the shot through an Unsharp Mask at around 30%, 2.1 radius, a) threshold. I also did a really light Sharpen on her eyes and lips to bring out a touch more detail. That was it. Compared to a lot of people on here.. I am a rookie at PP.. so some of them may have better suggestions.
