Newbies First Shots

Hello, one and all. Below you'll find some shots from my first roll off my PhotoForum-recommended, ebay-purchases Pentax K1000.

Comments are appreciated, but please be a little gentle.

The shutter speed was set at 250 for all of these, and I adjusted the f-stop to put my exposure meter just about dead center. I Photoshopped the kids just a bit, and cropped some of the bottom off the crypt shot.

Are you sure you only want the links up here?
If you don't feel like editing your thread so the photos show up right there, I could do it for you.
In the future, when you link photos from Photobucket to here, highlight the bar that has the [IMG ]name of photo[/IMG ] tags wrapped around, then the photo will show up immediately.
Or have the forum wrap them around for you by first clicking on the image-icon (that yellow thingy with mountains and a circle that is supposed to be the sun) and then copy your URL into the communication box which will open for you then.

Ooops, in all this I have forgotten to look at your photos - and now I must rush into the kitchen to save things from burning. I'll be back in a sec or two.

I totally agree with nitefly! I like them all a lot. The only pick I have with them is the size - I have to scroll to see the whole photo, so it's kind of hard to see the composition. Photobucket will resize them for you, but it always gives me trouble.

A regular Photobucket-Account, and you can only put up LINKS!?!? :shock:

I can't seem to change anything about it, either.
Very strange ... :scratch:

Anyhow, I have at last come to LOOK at your photos, and to me they don't look like a beginner's work, either.
And to be coming here with cemetery photography to begin with!

I did it, you just need a genius' touch I guess. But they're not resizing..

I think the problem is you are trying to add the images using the site address instead of the pic address.

For the first pic you have:
http://s80.photobucket.com/albums/j169/JasonKahler_photos/?action=view&current=Swayze.jpg

It should be:
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j169/JasonKahler_photos/Swayze.jpg

You could get the code from you gallery page. Just use the entire line in the IMG box in your message.

Or even one easier... Cut and past this and change all teh IM to IMG

They are easily visable on my crappy 15" CRT at work so I am sure people won't complain too much...

I think they are fine... but I like to look at larger pics to see the details anyways. :thumbup:
