Next Used Lens - Help choosing the better glass!

Well, I'm looking to get an older telephoto lens to help round out my kit, and I was wondering what everyone's opinions were with those two lens' above. Sharpness wide open, and looks are most important to me.
The macro capabilities aren't a big deal to me.

for what purpose? sports? wildlife? portraits?
if sharpness and "looks" are important you might want to also consider used Canon 70-200

It really depends on what you are shooting, where your shooting, and what light you are shooting in.
