My friend and I wanted to photograph something, anything, the other night so we waited for dark and headed out to a local park area. I wanted to do something with my newly acquired Nikon D3 and we ended up doing some long exposures of the sky and these twin-ponds. I converted this one to B&W because it seemed to fit the mood better (imo) and gave me the best result of the silhouette effect I was going for. Let me know what you think.

This reminds me of the ice fishing story in the movie American Hustle...

There are three things grabbing my attention - the water, the light, and the sky, and I think that's too many. I'd like more of the pond/lake and none of the sky.

I agree with agp in the sense that there's a lot going on, although there's no denying that this is an awesome photo! Hm, maybe just a trim off the top to take out the sky would work, but I don't know anything :) Nice shot!
