i have a question about settings for taking pictures in a nightclub or bar. so you know... i have a d700, 24-70 2.8 and sb700. im assuming i would turn the iso up to 600-800, f5.6, - 6.3 and slow the shutter way down (1/15)to get the light trails? oh and rear curtain sync on the flash...(that is the look im after) for those of you with facebook (i cant post other peoples pictures on here) check this link...

-you can peruse some of his other pictures there to see what i mean. has anyone on here had any experience taking pictures like this? how can i make sure i get the light trails and good ambient light/abstract blurred motion background and keep the subject sharp? any help would be appreciated.

cool man. while looking through your stuff, are those settings that i posted pretty accurate? needing a little adjustments on the fly? no shoe cord for me yet, but are you using TTL settings? or are you manual on everything?

Hit with the manual!
