Nightclub photography

Hey any tips on taking pictures at a nightclub? I really dont want to put the iso to high. I also have an sb600 flash with a diffusor which im not familar too much with the setting. Any advice would be amazing thanks

What body do you have?

Depending on the look im going for, I'll use anywhere from 1/8th-1/60th for shutter speed, Wide open on my lens, and 800-2000 ISO. I try to get as much of the ambient light in as possible. I then set my SB-600 to TTL mode with around -1 stop of flash compensation. I usually aim it into the air almost straight up while having the cap diffuser on.

That is great thats exactly the look i would like!! I have a nikon d3000 and i was thinking of using my 50 mm 1.4... The only reason i dont want my iso that high is because of noise.
