nightlife releases?

i take pictures in nightclubs for a nightlife website. im expanding and want to put pictures up of the dancing/drinking people on my online portfolio...but can i?

these people know their picture will be placed online, on my employer's site. if i know the shot is great, i'll ask for permission (verbal). but what about the other ones?

im going to start asking as a formality, but for the ones i've already taken--can i use them in my portfolio?

yeah if you took the picture and no one else owns the right to it you can use it without permission of the subject, usualy i get permission when i can, just to be nice. you mentioned your empolyer, if he owns the rights to the photos it would be illegal for you to use them without his permission.
