nikkor 70-200 2.8????

As we all know, the nikkor 70-200mm 2.8 is one of the greatest lens' BUT the price tag isn't so great. Unfortunately I don't earn enough to be able to afford a nikkor like my other lens'.

Has anyone tried a tamron 70-200mm 2.8? Opinions? Do they still give great outcomes? OR should I wait and save, save, save for the nikkor? I'm into equine photography so very fast objects.

Could you post any examples using the tamron? Thanks

I own the Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD. It is pin sharp.

DxO analysis point it to be a bit better than the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII. Amazing. See it here:
