I had high hopes for a DX DSLR with the AF system from the D800/D4 getting announced tonight... but Nikon rumors says 'No D400 for you!".

This could very well be the camera that will be announced this week and I seriously doubt that the D7000 replacement will be introduced as well.

What do you think... D7000 replacement or Coolpix point-n-shoot?

Seeing that its a fixed lens, I'd say point and shoot.

D7100 would make me happy. D400 would make my life complete.
