Nikon Capture NX V1.x vs 2.x - To upgrade or not?

I've been using Nikon Capture for a long time. Yes, it's a resource hog, yes, it's slow, yes, they ignored every single convention in the Windows programming API when they wrote the code, but damn it, it works. I downloaded and used the 2.x trial, but to be honest, didn't see a lot that was hugely improved over the 1.x version; at least not enough to justify the cost. Can any of you that have been using the 2.x version for a while give me your thoughts on whether it's worth it or not?
