Nice... but if I was buying a D300, I really would not get it with the 17-200VR... even if I own that lens now. There are cheaper/better alternative lenses that will give you better results, especially with a camera like the D300's higher potential.

Seems like Nikon has the high iso noise devil licked. Saw a similar post somewhere showing high iso shots from the D3 - astounding!
