nikon d3000 offboard camera flash

Hey guys, I need a bit of help. I have a nikon d3000 and £100 to spend does anybody know if this sync cable will work with my camera?

The cable should work but won't go far and I heard that it isn't the best quality.
As for the flash the jessops one looks better and is the one I am going to purchase in the near future.
