Nikon D3200 not clocking without flash

Hi,

My NIkon D3200 isnt taking any photos without flash. All it returns is a dark screen after I click it. I haven't messed up settings as far as I know and I even reset the entire shooting as well as set up menu but to no avail. Any idea as to what might've gone wrong?

Using a priority mode with unrealistic settings?

Check for a memory card in the camera. Try it on P for Programmed automatic exposure in good light, see if the settings you are using might be out of range for the light, as braineack alluded to above.
