Hello,

I'm planing to buy new DSLR, I'm little confused.
Nikon D3200 and D5100 will cost me almost same. Although I like D5100, and will mostly buy that one.
But I want to know that will I make mistake by buying D5100 over D3200?
Can someone tells me pro and cons of these two fantastic cameras?

I debated between the two for a while and ended up with the D3200. Most reviews seemed to put the 3200 ahead in most aspects and when I came across a good deal on a refurbished one I couldnt resist. That being said, I do kinda with I had built in HDR sometimes, but aside from that I love the 3200.

I would buy the D5100, the D3200 is a beginners camera, the difference in megapixels accounts for nothing the D5100 has many more features, the only plus for the D3200 is the stereo mic, if you like using video.

If you can afford the extra get the D5200 even if you have to wait a couple of months for the price to drop, say Christmas.

Nikon D3200 vs D5100 - Our Analysis

John.

I personally own a D3200 and my friend owns a D5100. In my opinion, the D3200 would be my best bet, considering the better megapixels and other aspects. On the upside, if you want to get interesting angles the D5100's Vari-angle LCD screen is great. But if that is the case, I'll consider the D5200. All in all, I love my D3200 as it may just be an entry-level DSLR, but it is easy to use yet has lots of great functions and features. :)
