Nikon D40, how much?

I've been suggested that if i want a cheap-ish DSLR i should look at the D40, however i can only find prices in US currency for around $600 but i cant find priceing in £. If some one knows the prices that would be a great help!

The D40 was just announced last week...I don't know if it's even in stores yet. It may take longer to get to your market. Look up or call your local shop to find out what they will be selling it for.
