hello please help me to choose from these ones:

nikon d50 + nikkor 18-55 (3.5 - 5.6) - 550 euro
nikon d50 + nikkor 18-70 (3.5 - 4.5) - 700 euro
nikon d50 + nikkor 18-55 (3.5 - 5.6) + nikkor 55-200 (4.0 - 5.6) - 700 euro
nikon d50 + sigma 18-50 (3.5 - 5.6) + sigma 55-200 (4.0 - 5.6) - 650 euro

thank you

The Nikkor 18-70 is a nice lens, I believe it originally was bundled with the D70 but I can be bundled with the D50 as well. I would suggest going for that lens.. I agree that the Nikkon stock kit lenses are not that great i.e. the 55-200mm and the 18-55mm. Although the 18-70mm is technically a kit lens it is much more than a kit lens. It focuses quickly, has a auto/manual focus mode whereas the others have either auto or manual and it feels much better and has a metal rather than plastic rim. It aso takes decent photos, Some barrel distortion when you are all the way out at 18mm occurs.

The one with the 18-70mm Nikkor for sure. The 18-55mm is OK, but the 18-70 is a very nice lens. Stick with Nikkor, I'm not a fan of the third party lenses. No one's kit lenses are spectacular, but like I said the 18-70mm is a nice lens, especially for the money, search for reviews of it.

I'd go with the last one with sigmas... I belive you are quite new to dslr world and kit stuff will be enough for a couple of months to "get ready" and star to be "fluent" with your dslr. Then, after a few months you can change the kit lens for something way better, investing a few hundrets...

go with the 18-70, it's a very good range for a walkaround. when you've decided you want to spend more money, splash out on a decent telezoom (not the 55-200).
