Nikon D7000: HELP WANTED...!

Last time I saw it for sale was on a sale price of 450$, maybe prices changed

i recently purchased that lens and I did not find it anywhere new approaching $450. Not even close.

That's because you don't live in Canada, I think it was "Black's" that had it for that price.

Gotcha. I'm not sure either of our country's pricing helps someone in Bangladesh though. :)

FYI, the 2nd lens that I got (other than the kid 18-105) was a 50mm/1.8d lens.
The 50mm/1.8 taught me alot about Depth of Field that wasn't obvious to me with the 18-105mm/3.5-5.6 lens.

That's why you really need both+the 70-300mm VR and then there are few more lenses I could tell you to get :)

I do have a 75-300/4.5-5.6 which I've used to take "macro" photos of distant flowers and other things that go buzz that you don't want to get to close too.

If you happy with this lens then you are all set with long zoom.

Refurbished is the only way to buy the 70-300VR... $349 at places like B&H, Adorama, Cameta & Nikon.
Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 G VR AF-S ED-IF Zoom Lens - Factory Refurbished includes Full 1 Year Warranty

Edit: forgot you guys are in Canada.. that's a whole 'nother kettle of fish eh!

You can get her new for 430$ up here at the north.
I got mine used for 280$ and I gotta say it was a very good buy!

The 18-105 is by far the best choice in your situation. They can be had used pretty reasonable. I also have the 55-200 and my copy is excellent but, the 18-105 is a better all around range.
