I have recently upgraded from a Nikon f100 to a d7100 with a 10-24mm lens. I use my camera a great deal in my practice, interior architecture. I would be interested in knowing of anyone's first hand experience with the d7100 and 10-24 lens and what other lens I might consider.

I went from a D90 to D7100. have had for a few weeks. All around Excellent camera so far. A longer telephoto lens 70-300 or if money is no object 80-400 which the D7100 turns it into a 600mm lens. As always the Nikkor 18-200mm is a safe bet. Good Luck

A Nikon 10-24 mm lens?

If you want to pursue interior architecture photography seriously (professional quality), you'll likely need a tilt/shift lens (adjustable perspective).
Nikon's PC-E (Perspective Control) lenses are not inexpensive.
Nikon 45mm f/2.8D ED PC-E Micro Nikkor Lens

You might also consider the -Nikon 12-24mm f/4G ED IF Autofocus DX Nikkor Zoom Lens, because it has a constant aperture when zoomed. The 10-24 is a variable aperture zoom , f/3.5 at 10 mm and changes aperture gradually when zoomed towards 24 mm. The 10-24 will hit f/4.5 somewhat before 24 mm is reached.

I chose the 12-24 over the 10-24.

There's always the old manual 28/3.5 PC. With the D7100's crop factor, it's around 35mm. These are shift-only pre-set lenses.

I just switched from DX to FX, but used my 12-24mm/f4 on the D7000 body and it was lovely.
It's on ebay for the next 3 hours if you're interested ;)

I think it would be great for what you need it for. It was one of the lenses that was hard for me to part with!
