I got an email a few days ago from nikon asking me to check the serial number on my camera as there is some sort of issue with certain batches and they want to recall it if it has a certain code, even outside of warranty.

From nikon support : The shutter in some D750 cameras may not function normally, sometimes resulting in shading of a portion of images.

If your camera is affected we will examine and repair the shutter free of charge, even if the camera's warranty has expired so please continue to use your camera and return it at a time which is most convenient for you.

If your camera is not affected by this issue, we can assure you that your camera will not present the symptom described above.

I have checked mine and its affected. I'm in Ireland and I may need to send to the UK, i.e. plane trip, is this bad news in general #crazy-couriers
