I just got a demo A700 from a Sony store for a good deal, I put my Minolta Beercan lens on it, and decided to give it a spin. When I have Super Steady Shot on and I have shutter speed of faster then 1/3 it makes a lot of noise from the camera, I cannot describe it like digital scratching noise. If SSS is off it does not make this sound. Anyone who has a A700 know if this is normal or should I take it back?

I've never used a sony camera, but I'd say that some noise is normal - whether or not yours is noisier than others or not, who knows. On my canon lenses (where the image stabiliser is called an image stabiliser and is in the lens, rather than in the body) the stabiliser motors make an audible noise, though I wouldn't say it's loud.

It's audible it is not load.

My Canon IS and Tamron VC lenses make noise when IS/VC kicks in as well but not loud enough to worry.
