Noob from South Florida

Hi everyone! I just got my first DSLR camera, a Christmas present from my awesome hubby! I have wanted one for years, didn't think we could afford it, so didn't officially ask for it, but hubby surprised me. It's a Nikon D3000. So now I'm trying to learn the ins and outs of my new toy, starting out in auto mode until I learn more about manual.

Anyway, happy to be here, looks like a good place for learning .

Hey man congrats on getting a Nikon! I got my first one as well! a D5000 I am also looking forward to learning! I am rather impressed with the AUTO setting!
