Not a total "noob", but new to the forum

Hey everyone. Been lurking for a few days and I figure now is as good as ever to get my first post over with. I'm a student photographer looking to expand my portfolio and learn what the world of photography has to offer.

I've been shooting casually (mostly car shows) for two years, but only in the past few months have I become more serious about it, putting together my portfolio and getting more people and things other than cars.
