I was playing around with this.
Not really sure what to think of it.
My wife's friend is a clothing designer [hobbyist] and she asked me to take a photo of her sewing machine that reflects the simple nature of her designs.

turn the camera a little more to the left and it'd work. there's just too much dead space on the right. and it could use a little more of the window for context.

alternatively you could shoot this on a black background with a light on either side just outlining it.
