The morning sun had risen over a large hill casting it's light through the fog.

cool shots, john...love them both..but the water shot is just awesome...would that i could just stand there for a bit....

nice shots john, i think the early morning fog is great, in summer it usually means that your in for a hot day.

Tempra, the light can be fantastic in the morning, really should make an effort.

Dalebe your right, it turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year thus far.
 
Two more lovely morning photos - I have just commented on rallyxe's "Morning Walk" photo, which is of a similar quality, though, of course, also all different in its style.

But these two have a lot of atmosphere to them, as well, which I like about them. The yellow in the first is fascinating. I quite like it!
 
Pretty neat shots here John E. I like the birds eye view in the first one. I also like the hazy look in both of these photos.

Bumsmyfriend, the fog does seem to give a slightly grainy effect, I had magnified the pictures 200% and the grain was normal.
