ok guys need your help somewhat.


I have a DVD with all my September and October photos on it.

All the folders are there and in them I can see the file names in list view but when I change to thumbnails it Freezes. Also when I double click a photo it doesn't open up.

Ok some of the folders open up ok and the photos open ok. SO what is Wrong ?

And more importantly .... can I recover these files/photos?

Help required ASAP as I need to do it tonight/tomorrow evening as I am away from Monday for three weeks.

Also to add to this when I get back am I going to have trouble backing up the holiday photos to DVD? or even open them up again ?

Did you check the folders and files for retrieval when you first created the DVD? If yes, the problem might not be the disk.

The files were all present and correct. Was able to open them and edit them when on my HDD before I burned them.

Could be any number of things.

Make a new folder on your 'puter and transfer the whole DVD into it. Then try opening the files on the 'puter.

Also try the DVD on a different 'puter.
