offset printing company recommendations?

Having turned several of my photos into poster concepts, I would like to have them printed in quantities of 500. There seem to be numerous quick printing offset printer companies online that will do the poster sizes I am considering, but I don't want to fork out $600 and be stuck with 500 mediocre posters. Any recommendations (as well as any I should avoid) are greatly appreciated.
