Walk out here about 4 times a day on a work break ... these weeds just flow in the wind. I wanted to capture the movement of the grasses just as I see them during the day.. I don't want to set this up for failure, but I'm not sure it's a "Pass"... It's difficult to show movement in a still photograph - at least the way the eye sees it...

Opinions - c&c on the exposure/sharpness and attempt ??

tks,

Rick

I like the first one, its nice, does not come across as a photograph on first look.
While the second does show the motion, I like the first one better!

I dont think it could be much sharper with the style of shot.

I think #1 is to abstract, because it has to little in focus. fail

#2 for me is just right, and has a subtle diagonal from lower right up to upper left that helps convey the sense of motion and movement. Pass

There are 2 more subtle diagonals that help reinforce the sense of movement.

i agree with Keith, second one is a pass

To me, #2 passes, as even with movement, our brain translates what might reach our eyes as a blurred picture (as depicted in #1) into a sharp one, out of its memory of what we're looking at, so we see as we see #2, so #1 has turned out too blurred, too abstract, too little recognisable, yet #2 still does show the movement.
