I'm not sure about either of these. The original HDR is a bit washed out and the B&W conversion has lost a lot of detail in the timber and the sky is too bright, nearly blown out. I've played with it using the lightroom B&W conversion and the detail is there if you take the time to get it right.

There's definitely potential in there in both images. I'll not comment on anything the others have mentioned, but I would like to see a version with that telegraph pole cloned out.
