In my travels today. Couldn't help but pull over. Critique welcome. I think I am going to make a flash box... that I could have set inside, tucked around corner inside the doorway of #1. I tried getting some light on there but was not successful.

lol, we are our own worst critics.

I think it has potential. I'd have liked to see it in it's entirety. As you have presented bits and pieces it's a miss but I understand the subject. The hardest part of photography for me (or any art form) is getting it out of my mind's eye and onto paper (print, web, whatever)

It's perspective. Keep at it.

I'd look for details - the checkered panels/tiles with the round object above, the weathered paint and wood. If it's ok to do so, a view from inside through the open, dilapidated structures.
