I have some old minolta lenses like a JC Penny Diamatic Zoom 1:48 f=85~210mm that i was given by someone, problem is that they fit on the older minolta body I was given and not my MAXXUM HTsi Plus. is there some sort of adapter for this? the older lenses are smaller where they connect to the base than the lenses for my MAXXUM. I would like to use these lenses because I have some awesome zoom and micro lenses but I can't since they dont fit.

Thanks for any help

Yes, such adapters exist. Minolta made 2 models (for different focal length
lenses) and there are at least a couple of third party adapters.

I believe most of them also multiply the focal length of the lens -- 2x, for
example.

Search ebay or the web for MD Maxxum Adapter.

yeah thanks for that info, I headed into a photography shop today to see if they had one. Luckily they had one left so I tried it out and it worked nicely, but I decided it was smarter not to go with it since I will be trying to sell the Maxxum HTsi Plus body soon.
