Hi all - Merry Christmas.

My wife found my old Nikon F55 SLR from my youth days and decided that the perfect Xmas present would be the following kit:

Olympus E500 DSLR Body
1 x 14-45mm Olympus Digital Standard Lens
1 x 58mm Professional 0.45X Wide Angle Lens
1 x 58mm Professional 2.0x Telephoto Lens

2 x 58mm Hoods
2 x 58mm Filter Holders

1 x Filter (Grey on one end gradually becoming clear)
1 x 9121L Cokin Filter
1 x Red Filter

1 x 55mm Polariser (0.75) (KOOD)
1 x 58mm Polariser (Hoya)
1 x 58mm Polariser (Jessops)

1 x Macro +10 58mm Lens
1 x Macro +4 58mm Lens
1 x Macro +2 58mm Lens
1 x Macro +1 58mm Lens

Now I love snapping away and I know a little bit about point and shoot photography. I know about placing the object of focus off centre, I know about the rule of thirds etc.

But I do not know what half of this kit does! PS If anyone could value it (roughly) then I would much obliged as it cost her approx £275 all in.

Any and all help appreciated. At the minute I am using the camera body and the standard lens with a lens hood attachment to reduce glare. The rest of these bits of glass are staring up at me forlornly waiting to be attached.

I will mainly be using the camera for landscape/nature photography as I do a lot of hiking.

Sorry for the long first post. I will be putting up my first few photos today

Steve

There is quite a bit of noise in the last one because I was fully zoomed..the only alternative was to get out onto the ice but screw that!
