Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Well today was my first time out shooting in RAW format. T'was very exciting. My question to you is this. I've transfered my pictures from the camera to my computer, and was expecting to edit them in photoshop, however they will not open in photoshop...I ended up having to install the software that came with the camera. Now im not sure if this is good or bad, i feel like PhotoShop would be much more powerful, however I'm new to all of this. Have any of you guy seen/conquered this problem?

You need to convert the RAW files first, then you can Photoshop them. If you'd rather do it all in Photoshop try downloading the Adobe RAW plugin, which should support Olympus' format.

wonderful thanks

I'm not sure if the Adobe RAW plug-in works with Olympus.
Although RAW format is supposed to be standardised each manufacturer appears to have their own standard.
But it's OK. Go to the Olympus site and download their PS7/CS plug-in. It's free and it works.

I must admit, though, that I use the Olympus Master software for organising my images and for converting them from RAW to JPEG. I just find it easier as you can do batches.
