Here at Outer Banks, in the past 5 days, the Osprey have shown up in droves!! They are staking out last years nests. It's amazing, hope to get out today.

Single shot. If the next frame had his feet raised it would have spelled disaster for the Osprey. Splat he'd go into that tree. However, here is another Osprey (the nesting partner of this one) just hanging around and surveying the nesting site, feet up in flying position.

While this is a poor image, it shows what I meant by feet up, I should have said forward to land. Hope this clarifies my comment and makes some sense.
