One of my Hard drives died :(

why I love film, negatives last longer than hard drives.

Why I love digital, RAW files don't deteriorate over time if they're not kept in the proper climate. (But I also like the quality/characteristics of film too...)

I find that hard drives have a limited life span which seems to run at 3 to 5 years in my experience.

In going through some of my papers, I found technical material on hard drives where it stated specifically that the predicted component life of the drives was 5 years.

Since I put in my Drobo I love the sound of a dying hard drive (Sick, I know) but that just means I get to add a new larger drive to it and increase my storage.
I have not lost a single image since I started using it 2 years ago.
