The only proper UK camera shop I know of is Jessops. Does anyone know of any other UK shops where you can buy online?

Nothing at the moment. I'm just getting them ready for when I do.
I was flicking through the jessops site earlier and reaslised it's the only one I know.

The best thing to do is to buy a photography magazine like practical photography, amateur phographer etc cos like half of them is adverts from photography shops and you get a good read aswell.

Amazon sell some kit - and the prices look good.

I buy most general stuff from ebay but i'm poor and get most of it second hand. I get darkroom chemicals from jessops as thats the only place i can find that sells chemicals.

Well, that's debatable - is it "proper"?

They've started to sell cheap silver plastic coloured junk there along with more computer bits than photographic gear.

www.silverprint.co.uk (wide-ranging stockist of traditional film materials)

www.7dayshop.com (cheap consumables without VAT)

http://www.rcomputers.co.uk/mxv/home.html (cheap secondhand gear)

http://www.discountfilmsdirect.co.uk// (reasonable film prices)

http://www.photosupplies.co.uk/ (obscure film formats)
