opening cr2 in cs4

Photoshop CS5 keeps crashing on me and I've been going back to cs4 but it cant open canons newer raw file CR2. Does anyone know of or use any free programs to convert CR2's into something cs4's raw editor can read?

Try Adobe's DNG converter program. It's a free download off the net.

Download Adobe's DNG converter and convert the CR2 to DNG Raw and you should be able to open them

Adobe stopped supporting CS4 with the release of CS5, which they do with every new release.

Why in the world would you not contact Adobe to straighten out your CS5 problem?

I'm pretty sure the problem is with my new nvidia video card not adobe. I plan on fixing it but it's not much of a priority when cs4 can do everything I need for now

and the dng converter is working perfect

You should get your keyboard's shift key fixed too.

It looks like, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't.
