Opinions on Canon 5D MKI

Looking for your comments on this body I have a chance to get one for cheap in nice condition, my 1Ds is getting real tired.I'm only looking to do landscapes with my 24mm lens at low iso's.

You will be going from a 2003 body to a 2006 body. I've not shot with either of these cameras so I couldn't talk about which was better and why. With the announcement of the 5Ds and 5Ds R, the prices of the 5D Mark III should be coming down very soon.

Absent the inbuilt battery grip, they are comparatively very similar cameras, at least sensor wise and I'd class it more as a replacement than an upgrade. The 5D has a slight edge in the ISO department and 1MP more resolution. If you're happy with those specs and the results you've gotten up till now, and can get it for a good price, then all well and good.

Bought it. The 1Ds will go into retirement ! I'll get a 5DIII in a few years.
