It's amazing the stuff they pick up for the nest. I had along with some other folks I know make phone calls from time to time to rescues groups do to the nests having a large amount of fishing string that easily can get caught up on the birds, especially the kids when they come. volunteers did come from a rescue group and removed the string each and every time..Every year it's the same thing from idiots that don't discard the fishing line properly. I once saw a Osprey with a stick and a helium ballon with the string stuck on the stick on the way to the nest.
