Every year on the 29th of September Augsburg holds its Turamichele fair. People gather in front of the clock tower on the town square, and, on the hour, they count with the clock as it chimes and watch as St. Michael stabs the Devil with his spear. When the spectacle is over, children let balloons fly into the air, and the one that gets carried the furthest by the winds wins a prize (they each have a pre-paid post card attached, which the finder is asked to send back by post).
This one came down in a cemetery not more than 5 kilometers from the town square, so no prize - unless they have franking machines in the next world.....
