Out of these 2 lenses which would you pick?

I am pretty sure both lenses will fit with the d60 and the d700 when I upgrade.

hurm, price difference is quite high.

ive use that tamron before and the corner distortion at 28 is pretty massive
id get the 50mm over it

I believe the first lens cannot AF with the Nikon D60.

well, i just read the 50mm does not autofocus with the d60! i was just about to purchase it! good thing i read that! ugh

do you think the tamron is ok for a portrait lens?

I would get the 35mm af-s instaid of the the 50mm. It will autofocus on the d60. for the Tamron, go local, try it and see the heavy softness in the corners and the corner distortion by yourself
