Peekaboo boy

This is one of the few i'm happy with, the only PP i've done is cropped a bit, and think it turned out pretty good, feel free to be critical, I have alot to learn.

Awww, who can resist a baby's smile!?!? You just cannot go wrong with these lovely faces!

Lovely reflection in his/her eyes! I like those very much.
You say you cropped a bit... may I ask you where? For I still feel there is a bit much of the green door on the right, it is interesting in its own and I keep looking at its texture and the nail and the other round little thing on the height of his/her eyes ... you already see: That door invites the viewer to look at it closely and is therefore distracting from this sweet little face.

But I am not the most knowledgable on portrait photography, so maybe there are others who say the door is just right...!

What I do think is right are
- the moment,
- the light,
- the skin tones,
- sharpness,
- and DOF (depth of field).

For some funny reason I mind the amount of green fence post (or whatever it is) less in the totally uncropped version that its already cropped amount in the cropped version. I don't get why this is so, but my instant reaction to the original photo was that this shows the whole peekaboo-aspect more!

What do our portrait experts say, I wonder?
Ever since we have started the People and Pets forum, they no longer come but stay in the Weddings and Portraits forum (more designed for professional photography). A pity.

not a problem EJBPhoto, did his eyes just come out like that or have you tricked them too?? lol He looks like a little angel, but he's more suited to the devils horns and a 666 tattoo on the back of his neck like Damien
