Pelicans at the Sea Ranch

This is perhaps two of the least good pictures from my California trip, but I would still like some thoughts.
So please be brutally honest!!! :twisted: :shock:

I like the second shot better. Are these digitals? The second one has nice light. Going from darker in the forground - to light at the rear. And I know this is nit picking - but the radio tower in the center bothers me. Something seems missing in the first shot - I don't know what it is - I like you know if it hits me. Would like to see the ones you think are the best too.

Honestly,

I find the first one dull.

Now the second one is cool. My eye focuses on the first rock formation, then checks out the next one, then the next, then comes back to the first one to see the colour, then wanders over to the next, then....

Well, let it be said that I like the second pic. I'd like to see a full sized image of it.

I knew the first show was just plain bad, but a friend insisted it was good. Yeah another one of those suckup friends....

anyways I am a little surprised about the comments on the second picture. I knew the mist and shadows really added to it, but I never guessed that people would like it that much.

I never even noticed the radio tower in the back until just then and now it bugs me too. Nothing a little photoshop can't fix.
