Pentax K20D Infrared

i just recently began using my infrared filter with the K20D i purchased not to long ago. I had been using the filter with the K110d and loved the results. however- i'm getting black and white photos with this infrared filter on the K20d, i'm wondering if i'm setting the white balance wrong? Because with the 110d the pictures would usually come out purpleish. Also i'm getting a kind of blue soft line going across some of the images. anyone got any advice?

The K20D may not record IR. You can test this by aiming an IR remote at the camera and snapping a pic while the remote is being fired. Next, look at the photo in B&W, the IR light should be visible. I haven't tried this with the K20D yet, but the *ist recorded IR images.
