Hello all. I am looking for something to get wider than the 18-55mm kit lens that came with my K100D (really not that impressive anyway), and so far all I can find is the Sigma 10-20mm and the Pentax 14mm. I am looking for something reasonable in cost (the Sigma seems like it's about right, cheaper is better), and used is no object. On a related note, how bad are those wide angle converters for image quality?

pentax has a decent 12-24 f/4, and 16-45 f/4. i used the 16-45 and 16-50/2.8 on a k10 and liked them both. i've never shot with the 12-24, but it looks to be built the same as the 16-45/4.

I don't have one, but I hear a lot of good things about the Sigma 10-20, and the Pentax 12-24 is better than that ( but at about 2 x the price ) Pentax also has a 10-17 fisheye, but not sure if that is your style.

I just bought the sigma 10-20mm myself for my sony A700 and I have heard good things about it too.

Also the zenitar 16mm fisheye. It's not too fisheye on a small sensor and it's quite cheap.
Sigma also has a 12-24, though i think that for the money you will be better off with the 10-20.
