I'm not very sure about the blue towel under your pet. it is a bit distracting...
I like the dof... but is this image ok to edit? I may play in ps a bit... I'm thinking about converting it to black and white.

Watch out for all the loose hair then. It's easier to get rid of it before you take the photo rather than resort to PS.
When you are doing shots that are quite close up you need to look at everything. One hair in the wrong place can become extremely annoying later on.
