Philly at Night (12 images)

The last few days I've been going out at sunset to photograph stuff around town. Most of my good shots are of the Art Museum, but I also got some shots of the Ben Franklin Bridge and other things. All shots were taken with my Canon 30D, using either my Tamron 17-35mm f/2.8-4 lens or my Canon 50mm f/1.8. Enjoy

The detail you captured in 3 and 6 is amazing, given the amount of light you still had! WOW. I want that 50mm prime lens now! And a new polariser! And an external flash! And a softbox! And and and ... (can't have it all, though --- going to England for a combined meet-up of two online forum, only 5 months after we've been to the Washington meet-up AND all those things ... even ANY of those things? No ... ah well).

The time of day (night) was just PERFECT, the sky is of such a wonderful nightrobe-velvety colour!

Photo 11 blows me all over, too, with illuminated Boathouse Row in the background like a white-pencil sketch... way cool.
