Photo edited in elements 7

Here's a photo I've had that I thought I'd practice with in elements 7. The thing in front is part of a branch type perch. do you think that detracts from the image?

I am not sure of the order I did things in, but I think pretty much I did:

1. converted from jpg to tiff (is there any benefit to doing this?)
2. worked off the tiff file
3. enhanced
4. cropped into 5x7 for printing
5. sharpened
6. saved to tiff

You forgot a step...

7. Resize to less than 800 pixels and save as a copy for uploading to the web.

And yes, I do think the perch is hurting the image. Maybe if it wasn't 'touching' the bird, it would be OK...but it is.

I did resize it! Can't you tell? No j/k. I just fixed it. What happened before was I forgot to apply the change before saving it to a jpg. Ah well... :blushing:

Yea I wish the perch was not there. She was so darling in that one.
